Montauk Sewer System Debate

The debate over whether to build an estimated $70 million sewer system for downtown Montauk is just getting started, East Hampton Town officials and critics of the proposal agreed at the most recent Express Sessions event last week.

This was the first debate where the East Hampton Town was forced to answer questions in a public forum about the proposed wastewater treatment plant  in Hither Woods. Richard Whalen represented the CFHW and Robert DeLuca represented the Group for the East End.
